The Real GDP

INDIA’s Defines GDP----Get Rid of Downtrodden and Poor

World Bank,Standard and Poors, and other economic bodies  are predicting India’s GDP every month on certain parameters. S&P last issued a BBB- rating, with a stable outlook and recently it has gone further down. They have their own calculation methods. Some people say that India will rise in current financial year, others say that growth will decline and after analyzing all the calculations of Big Bodies India is contented that it will survive atleast. We have our own methods and these are classified, even Big Bodies are quite curious to know our methods to evaluate the growth pattern of our country. But, we have the intelligent workforce who is keen not to share our classified analysis pattern. Normally, GDP is considered as overall final value of goods and services produced within a country and to be excise it is calculated on the basis of purchase power parity (PPP) index. To calculate GDP on PPP Index, it is divided by average population of that particular nation that year. So, This is the universal criteria to calculate the growth pattern of any nation. Now, after following this criteria ,we calculated india’s Purchase Power Parity and our politicians and economists decided that a meager 32 rupees a day would be sufficient for Indian poors to survive. I mean if someone can afford this amount of big money i.e Rs. 32 per day, he would not be included in poor category. As per the records of percentage change/growth in GDP by different sectors during last financial year, the Public Sector (Education,Health and Public Administration) has contributed very less .

However, this is the general analysis of our economists and intelligent people. But somewhere, the real picture is hidden. These figures  are manipulated to show our false status to the big bodies so that our status is not effected in terms of our show off value. We still insist that we are doing good as compare to other nations of the world economy and figures below tell our growth pattern to outside world.

But, in real terms all these figures include only 30% of upper population. From upper population, I mean people who are above average in terms of so called Purchasing Power Parity. We don’t mind to include people below average line. There is no place for poor to be counted for this useful data and figures. Our Thinkers of Growth hardly have time to count the real figures. There is a war within when we take on Consumer Price Index. It is very much difficult for Indian government to include such indexes for  calculation of growth patterns. We can debate for years when it comes to revise the Base Year for precise calculations.  We have lot of other things too to debate or think upon, so why to waste time on such meaningless points. In real terms, India defines GDP as Get Rid of Downtrodden and Poor from all the surveys, from all the data and from all calculations. That’s our real growth story. We will continue with the real analysis on our own parameters which are real and carry value and real importance while measuring our growth story. It’s just a start and we have the long way to go……………………………………..

Fight to Right

Walking down the lane,
Everybody around looked insane,
Rushing towards their destination,
Everybody was full of frustration,
In the scorching heat of sun,
Everybody got a perfection to run,
Standing alone in a corner,
I saw a girl crying,
On the footpath of a busy road,
An old man was dying,
Intense pain of girl was flowing through tears,
The old man was moving away from all the worries and fears,
No one bothered to come close,
In the intense heat all the senses froze,
Sun shines after every dark night,
It takes courage to fight for their right.

The Inflamotionary Wedding Week

Indian weddings are the most popular in the world. All colors can be seen on occasion of marriage. People are too happy or enthusiastic for a wedding ceremony. Specially children who are overjoyed in advance to enjoy the marriage invitations. People start their preparations a month before for this auspicious day. All relatives are invited to attend this big day. For some, it is the day to get good food or new clothes , for some it is the day to get good drinks, for some it is the just another hectic day and for some it is just a headache day, depends upon person to person, status to staus and class to class.

Last week was the marriage week for me. I was supposed to attend some of the mandatory marriage ceremonies. That week was the most enjoyable, the most painful, the most ecstatic, the most grieving, the most learning, the most memorable and the most forgettable for me. Now everyone must be wondering how could it be possible to feel all these different emotions in a such a short period of time. This was inflamotionary  week  just like inflationary week. As per economical definition of Inflation, it is steep rise in prices of commodities in a short period of time, just like that inflamotion is steep rise in different emotions in a short period of time. I suffered from inflamotion in this marriage week.

From last 2 years, it was the the first time that I was attending 3-4 marriages in a week. All I could say, this week was waiting for me to keep me involved as well as aloof from our so called society. I met all sort of relatives and friends, listened to their talks, most of the time absurd ones and all this kept me aloof somewhere from them. I am not a big guy with a big job or heavy pockets, but something was there, pushing me away from everybody around me. May be I overfelt my emotions or may be I could not apply appropriate measures to control  the inflamotionary conditions.  But somewhere I got to know, why people are so engrossed in themselves without any reason or entangled in themselves with too many reasons.

I could see a proud father who was overwhelmed with the success of his son who was able to convince our society for a love marriage, on the same day I also saw a grief stricken father who lost his only son in an accident a few months back, still he was putting a fake smile on his face to curb the deep pain inside his heart. There were people who were trying to be sophisticated and cultured , there were people who were as genuine and humble as they were always, there were people who were overburdened with bookish knowledge, there were people who were genius without reading any book, there were people who were trying to cherish each and every moment, there were people who were trying to avoid or forget things because that didn’t suit their current status. There was not much difference in personal and professional things as everything was messed up around.

However, it was again a learning period for me. I got to know so many people and things in such a short period of time. I applied certain measures to control the inflamotionary conditions, I hope these will be effective on me as well for all people around me.

Different Ones

                                                                  Different Ones
What makes you think that you are different one from others? Is it your qualification or your knowledge or your money or your status or all of these? And if you are still confused to find out then you are a normal human being, no need to get demotivated. In fact most of people are confused and so they all are normal. Then who is different or abnormal? The one who thinks of doing something for society, for the poor, for the needy and for the nation even if he/she is a no one. The one who dares to cross the boundaries. The one who forgets his/her own pain to make others painless. The one who sacrifices his/her comfort to the miserable lives of many to make it at least worth living. People who don’t even care about what people say or think about them, people who do these things with a clean heart. People who keep themselves away from the light of fame or media. The only thing of concern is that out of trillion population only a fraction of fraction is the number of such people in this huge nation. The nation which we boast of, for its past glory and achievements only to avoid today’s worst conditions. Are these people born with certain superpowers or may be super willpowers or are they forced to make such kind of decisions or are they getting a huge amount of benefits from such kind of activities. Sorry, not our concern, we are too busy in dealing with our own miserable lives. Who cares for those who dare? We can appreciate their work but are not ready to support them or giving a helping hand to them as we are also struggling with “Survival of Fittest thing”. We Indians are doing well in various fields but losing ground on these moral responsibilities.
Incredible India is once again proving its credibility for not doing anything for those who are struggling for “Anything”. How does it feel when you don’t get basic things of life, how does it feel when you are born in a family of poor only to get malnutrition or die of starvation. How does it feel when you shiver in cold but you have minimal clothes to hide yourself, or you want to read and write but unable to enter inside the gates of our so called institutions due to their high monetary values. All these things seem quite normal to us as we just read and take a deep long sigh to show sympathy for all those people who are” different” from others because they have no money, no education, no qualification and no status. Is average human age not enough to give its bit to all these people of our so called cultured society? Are we so poor to give our one percent of total income to a right cause, or are we so busy that we can’t give one day of a month to do something for these people. These are people of mother earth like us, they may not be in our blood relations but they are also human beings like us who can sense and feel. Its time to wake up from the pretending sleep. With the rising sun let the rays reach to every living being on this earth. Its must be the call of our conscience to move our hands and feet for every human being on this earth.

The Unending Fight

Year 2011,I started my year with one bad and one good note. I was quite imbalanced or balanced I did’nt know. On the one side I got a new job with one of the reputed organization and on other side I was going down in a relationship. One chapter was going to open while other one was going to close. The pain of closing chapter was more intense  than the happiness for starting of new chapter. I was almost numb with intense volatility in my life. But I did’nt have time to analyse the closing chapter, so I gathered myself  for  an unending  fight with myself  and I just moved on. I must not use the word moved on as I just started crawling with memories of past to unpredictable future. I kept myself busy all the times to reduce the pain of separation. But days were too long to be spent. I did my best to tell myself about all the Primary, Secondary and Tertiary needs, but I always got confused in arranging all these needs. Most of times I pretended to be happy as I did’nt want to involve people around me to soak themselves in utter grief and pain I was going through. Loss in business was also pushing me down. Things always got scattered around me whenever I tried to gather those.I did not want to give up so early. Everything was hazy around me, but I was trying my best to get the clearest view. Once again I was trapped in the fight between my EQ and IQ.  Atmosphere was heating up with rising temperature inside as well as outside. Inside temperature was melting me faster than the outside temperature. Then I realized that I was very much imbalanced. I was not the same person as I was two years back. Philosophy and Psychology are not just subjects, these are parts and phases of human life. If we are not strong enough to understand and control these parts and phases of life then we will definitely  no longer survive with what we desire for. All human Power and Ego is mere a fraction to fake the “ Survival of Fittest “ Thing.
Still it is an eternal struggle for a human being to prove oneself in this competitive world to exceed beyond one’s limit. If you stop or take a pause to balance yourself then others will leave you behind in that unending race. Then you raise your voice to say “Race is not ever as I Have’nt won yet”, and nobody will listen to this crap as all the participants in the race have already won till you wait for the race to get over. This is called Psychology of a human being in his/her unconscious mind. It just shows the light only when it is dark outside, till then others have already gone far beyond the limit in dark itself.

Landed with empty Handed

Sitting on a chair,I kept thinking,
Trying to open my eyes, but these are still blinking,
Why do I land at such a place,
I try to come first even if there is no race,
I hide myself, even if no one sees me,
In scorching heat outside, rays of sun freeze me,
Why should I climb to that height,
Neither fear of falling down, nor there is fight,
How do I walk straight, worried about my fate,
Even when I spread love,my feelings turn to hate,
Nothing is left behind, still I am empty handed,
Walking on a strange path, nowhere I am landed.

Disparity in Similarity--Bihar Diaries

The journey from Delhi to Patna(Bihar) was smooth and dark as Rajdhani Express covered the distance very fast in the night. Early in the morning after ten hours of journey, I was at Patna Jn station. Moving towards Exit gate I noticed a few gunmen standing near the gate. Then I saw something that made me felt proud of our civil servants from Bihar. Six red light ambassador cars were standing near Exit gate. Its ironical that at one side we criticize Bihar for its corrupt politician and on the other side we praise Bihar students who come out of darkness to get a redlight car by their determination and Hard work. I was amazed to notice one more thing, when i asked for a cab service from Patna to Darbhanga(another dark town/village of Biahr),only white ambassadors were there for cab services.I was really flying high in the sky when I hired a white ambassador to Darbhanga though it did not have a redlight on top of it. Just after ten minutes of journey,my ambassador car started crossing one of the largest and oldest bridge on Ganga river. This bridge is shattered from last many years, once made by one of the Top Engineering & construction compqny of India. Now,this is the hanging bridge of India.Every hundred meter of bridge is repaired and connected with iron shockers which move Up & Down whenever a vehicle passes on it. In 4 kms of bridge journey,I forgot to notice the holy river Ganga which flows under the bridge. My ambassador cab and I felt relieved, but the adventrous journey was still more. After covering 5-30 kms.our road which was made up in the ratio of 80:20(Sand:tarcoal/concrets etc.) made us realize the real meaning of rough and struggled ride. On the half way,my ambassador cab gave up and stopped to breath. It was choked by the struggled journey. I came out from my ambassador cab to check what has happened to my dear ambassador cab. It was really cold outside as snowy hills of Nepal were not too far away. I relived myself as my engine was also choked with too much water inside it. After riding on national Highway "Delhi-Purnia" for 3 hrs, finally I reached Darbhanga, The city which was not more than a small and poor village. After an hour of journey in Darbhanga itself,I found a hotel which was under construction . the manager of hotel convinced me to provide me the best accomodation. Finally,He provided me one "Maharaja Room"(luxurious room with facilities like Room service/geyser and television). In the evening, i moved out in the local market of Darbhanga to buy some basic goods. Also, i bought some liquor for me and my colleague. Oh, I forgot to mention that I was not alone in the journey. My colleague who was passionate about english speaking and boasting off around with all the people around him made him unique and irritating personality for everyone. With very little knowledge and heavy burden of experience of 3 years in the education industry,he made himself polished with extrashine which made others totally blind, however I was not too much concerned about this poor fellow. So, I bought some goods and liquor to enjoy the evening. when i asked for a particular brand of liquor from vendor,he was amazed and shocked as for the last so many days,he has not sold this brand. He gave us too much respect for our brand choice. Then I went to buy sleepers(Chappal) for myself. The brand Relaxo had become Felexo and Bata had become Bate in that particular shop. So I bought a pair of Felexo for myself. When I asked for some snacks to my room service man,he recommended me the finger chips. I was happy that atleast, people in Darbhanga  know about finger chips. But somewhere I was wrong. When I waited for more than fourty minutes, he came with finger chips. When I asked him what made him so late,he replied innocently that "Sir,finger chips banne k baad useaadhe ghante tak nahi khate" and he was pretty sure about it. So I had my snacks after thirty minutes as mentioned cook cum room service fellow. After enjoying the evening with some liquor and finger chips, I had my dinner and slept well. I woke up at 7 in the morning. I suited and booted myself for the event ,the educational event which was  only educational event in last 5 years and it was in the top star hotel of darbhanga,Infact I must remove star and should mention it top hotel in Darbhanga. People from various institutes had come there to show themselves the best in the education industry to the poor and underprivileged students of Darbhanga. Everyone was showing his best selling skills including me and my colleague. Oh, Sorry again, I forgot to mention about my job profile. I am working as a Business Development Manager(BDM) for a reputed and over-marketed management institute of India. Students were very much thankful to us and organisers for this educational event. After interacting with some really good students, I was happy to see that how good knowledge the students of this dark area have. In b/w my colleague was again busy in english speaking with  students who could not even understand him including me too and by his passion of english speaking, he befooled/convinced a poor Muslim chap for on the spot registration for our reputed institute for Rs. 600/- only and told him that the real cost of form was 1000/-. I was little disturbed when i saw the poor chap counting 600/- rupees three times before giving it to my colleague. But I regained my consciousness because he was just doing what he and me were asked for. This is "Man Eats Man" world and thats how everybody survives. I spent a good time for 2 days in darbhanga. Leaving Darbhanga I moved towards my next destination i.e. Gorakhpur(U.P.). I realized one thing that a student is always a student wherever he comes from and there are students from darkness who are ready to enlighten the world/nation with the light of their knowledge and talent.
